Appeal to the European ombudsman
If an EU institution or agency breaches the rights of anyone, an appeal can be made to the European Ombudsman. Appeals can be made by any EU citizens or organisations registered with the Union. The appeal is called a complaint. Any complaint must be made within two years of the event concerned.
Any complaint concerning the actions taken by the local authorities must be made according to the rules of the legal system of the country concerned.
