Working for the European Union

EU citizens can also apply for jobs in the European Union. There are 40,000 people working for the Union in the various EU institutions. The EU needs civil servants and experts in different areas. Every year the European Parliament offers trainee jobs for students and recent graduates. Jobs are advertised and vacancies filled through open competition. As a result of the competition, lists are made of people eligible for various positions.
